Sir Attenborough!

Hi Everybody,

We know we’ve been away from here for a little while, and we will pick up where we left off shortly.  We’ve got some great (and we mean GREAT) blog entries to post, so you should hear from us again soon.

In the meantime, we wanted to share with you our wonderful encounter with one of the most inspiring people in the world.

Kathleen discovered in one of the local papers that Sir David Attenborough was signing books at the WHSmith Bookstore at the Trafford Centre, so we HAD to go.

Since Kathleen finished up work earlier than Keith, She went in there to line up, and it was a good thing too, because there ended up being hundreds there by the time Keith arrived.

Sir David, was scheduled to sign between 6:30pm and 7:30pm, but one of his homies must have seen the line up and asked him to start a little earlier, because he actually started at 6pm.  Thank goodness, because it took us almost an hour to get to him, and he was still going by 8pm, when we had to leave. You’ve got to hand it to the man, Keith would of started suffering from RSI by then.

To add to the joy of the moment, we discovered a day later that Keith (along with dozens of others) got snapped by a local paper.  Subconsciously, Kathleen must have known it was going to happen, because she had wandered off (to stretch her legs, supposedly), so she didn’t get in the photo.  Please find attached the photo and article.

  Where’s Wally?

If we haven’t already sent a larger copy to you, let us know.  Please find below our own photos of Sir David.

We need a better digital camera

Anyway, we will be back soon with all our past adventures (after we blow the dust off them) very shortly.

Love you all,

Kathleen and Keith
